This Privacy Policy explains how Color Match Cube (colormatchcube.com), operated by Inline Computers, handles information. Inline Computers is responsible for the personal data collected through this site. You can play the full game without accepting analytics.
1. Data stored on your device (Local Storage)
The game stores progress and settings in your browser using localStorage (for example: current level, unlocks, theme, and preferences). These remain on your device, except for the optional global scoreboard information described below.
2. Optional global Cube scoreboard
If you save a scoreboard nickname, you enable automatic submissions after future qualifying level clears. Using “Submit to global scoreboard” after completing a level also submits that score once you have chosen a nickname. We send your nickname, score, level, game mode, daily challenge number and a random browser identifier to our Cloudflare Worker. Your nickname, score, level and submission time may appear publicly on the top-ten board. Please use a nickname, not your real name. Saving a nickname does not publish your older local score history. Mini-game scores are not submitted.
The browser identifier is stored locally and in Cloudflare D1 to keep one best entry per browser on each board; it is not included in public responses. All-time combines Daily and Random scores and retains the top ten best entries until displaced. Daily today resets at midnight UTC; old Daily board entries are cleaned up, while qualifying All-time entries remain. Cloudflare processes IP addresses for short-lived submission rate limiting; our scoreboard database does not store IP addresses.
If a submission fails while sharing is enabled, the pending score and nickname are stored in this browser for another attempt when you reconnect or next open the game. Use “Stop sharing” in the Scores menu to stop future automatic submissions and cancel pending uploads. Clearing site data also stops sharing and removes pending uploads, but resets local progress. Neither action removes an already published score. To request removal, contact the email below with your nickname and score.
3. Mini-game progress
The colour mini-games save their progress in your browser using localStorage, under keys
beginning cmc.arcade.v1.. This covers your current Shade Guess daily attempt and guesses,
your daily win count and streaks, best results for Gradient Rush and Odd Shade, a short list of recent
results, and whether the Spectrum theme is switched on.
The saved progress stays on your device and is not uploaded as a profile. It contains no name, no account and no tracking identifier. If you accept analytics, limited gameplay events are sent separately as described in section 5. Clearing your browser storage, or using a different browser or device, resets saved progress. If your browser blocks storage the games still work — progress simply is not kept.
The “Reset mini-game progress” button below the Cube removes only those
cmc.arcade.v1. keys. It does not touch your Cube levels, scores, unlocks or your cookie choice.
4. Sharing a result
The Share button prepares result text and a game link for your device’s share sheet, clipboard or manual copying. You choose where to send it; this button does not post to a social account for you. A service you choose to share with handles that information under its own privacy policy. This is separate from publishing a result to the optional Cube scoreboard described above.
5. Analytics (optional, consent-based)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and games people use, whether they start and complete levels, and where the game could be improved. Our legal basis for this optional collection and processing is your consent. Analytics is disabled by default and Google’s analytics code only loads after you choose Accept in the analytics banner.
- Accept and Reject are offered together. Ignoring the prompt, scrolling or playing does not count as consent. Rejecting analytics does not restrict gameplay.
- Before consent, and while analytics is rejected, we do not send Google Analytics pageviews, gameplay events or measurements without cookies. We do not save activity for later analytics upload. Accepting later starts measurement from that point.
- Use Reject analytics in the footer of any page (or in More while playing the Cube on a phone) to withdraw consent immediately. Cookie settings also stops analytics and reopens the choices. These controls remove this site’s Google Analytics cookies without clearing your game progress or scoreboard preferences.
- We remember your choice on this browser for 180 days, unless you change it or clear site data sooner. After it expires, analytics stays off until you accept again. Consent on another browser or device is separate.
Consented measurements can include the page visited, game name and mode, level starts and results, points, completion time and interactions such as sharing a result. Google also processes technical information such as browser and device details, language, approximate location and a cookie identifier used to distinguish browsers and recognise returning visits. These identifiers make analytics data pseudonymous, not fully anonymous.
We do not include scoreboard nicknames, the scoreboard’s browser identifier, email addresses or other text you enter in our gameplay event fields. Analytics consent is separate from choosing to publish a scoreboard result. Our website sends advertising storage, advertising user-data and advertising personalisation consent as denied; accepting analytics does not grant permission for advertising.
Advertising personalisation is disabled for all regions in our Google Analytics property. Google Signals, user-provided data collection and granular city/device collection are also switched off. General browser/device categories and approximate country or region may still be measured after consent.
Page addresses in our analytics omit query strings and fragments. For visits referred by another website, we use only the referring site’s origin, without its page path or query string.
Google processes analytics data on its infrastructure, which can involve processing outside the UK and European Economic Area, including the United States. Google’s data processing terms describe its processing and international-transfer safeguards. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection; it does not automatically erase measurements already sent to Google. Contact us using the details below for help with a data request. Because we do not connect analytics identifiers to your name or scoreboard identity, we may need information from your browser to locate a record and may not be able to identify it after its cookies have been deleted.
Useful when testing the game. This preference stays on this browser and does not change your game progress. Turning it off does not give analytics consent.
6. Cookies and storage periods
Your consent choice and its dates are stored in localStorage under cmc_consent_v2. This record is used to respect your choice, not to track gameplay, and is valid for 180 days. Existing refusals are respected; older analytics permissions without a recorded date require a fresh choice.
If you exclude this browser using the control above, that preference is stored locally under cmc_analytics_excluded until you turn it off or clear site data.
Only after consent, Google Analytics can set first-party _ga and _ga_* cookies for browser and session measurement. We configure these cookies to expire after 180 days and not extend their life simply because you visit again. Your browser may remove them sooner. Rejecting analytics or opening Cookie settings removes them.
Analytics cookies on your device are separate from information already held by Google. Our Google Analytics property currently retains event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. The user-data retention period currently resets when that browser has new measured activity. These limits do not apply to most standard aggregated reports, which can be retained longer. Contact us to request deletion of data we can identify.
Game progress, settings and scoreboard preferences use the local storage described above to provide the features you choose. They normally remain until you reset them or clear this site’s data. These features do not require analytics consent.
7. Site delivery, security and external services
Our web server and Cloudflare deliver and protect the site. They may process technical request information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser headers and timestamps for delivery, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Cloudflare also provides the optional scoreboard service described above. This operational processing is separate from optional Google Analytics.
Our pages load the Bootstrap interface files from the jsDelivr content delivery network. Your browser contacts jsDelivr to obtain these files, including when analytics is off, and provides the technical information needed for that request. See jsDelivr’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy for information about their processing.
These providers operate international infrastructure, so processing may occur outside the UK or European Economic Area. Operational records have separate retention arrangements from Google Analytics; the analytics periods above do not describe server or provider logs.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or to the relevant data protection authority in your country in the European Economic Area.
